JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Truck Driver
Location: Birmingham, AL
Job Type: On-site (100%)
Reports to: Mechanical Supervisor
Department: North American Operations
Position Purpose: Drive various company vehicles that are CDL and Non CDL compliant to deliver parts and equipment to various sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
- Works safely at all times.
- Complete tasks in accordance with standardized quality checklists
- Continually seek out opportunities to improve onsite activities
- Master skills associated with the versatility matrix
- Review current best practices resulting in efficiencies relating to time, material usage, and safety
- Live "Safety is Your Life" Program. Use proper personal protective equipment, i.e., hearing protection, steel toed shoes, safety glasses, etc., as required for the task at hand
- Ability to manage time without extensive supervision
- Self-Directed with exceptional problem-solving skills
- Must be willing to work off shifts, on call, and weekends, as necessary
- All other duties as assigned by Leadec site management
- Drive various vehicles CDL and Non CDL
- Supervise fleet of trucks
- Perform necessary equipment maintenance
- Serve as SPOC for shop
- Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
- All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.

Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CDL License
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely

- Work under immediate supervision
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:
- Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch into confined spaces.
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.
- Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
- Required to push, pull up to 150 pounds occasionally, lift or carry up to 30 pounds often and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
