Position: Project Manager-Mechanical Engineer
Location: Austin, TX or Denver, CO
Job Type: Travel Up To 75%
Reports to: Director of Engineering and Development
Department: North American Operations
Position Purpose: Engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
· Works safely at all times.
· Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
· Confirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods, testing properties.
· Develop mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
· Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
· Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
· Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
· Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
· Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special services.
· Maintain system and product data base by writing computer programs and entering data.
· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
· Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
· All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.

Position Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required (master's preferred).
· Licensed as a BSME.
· 10 years' work experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:
· Required to talk and/or hear in an office and industrial setting (noise level will vary significantly between work areas). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch.
· Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.
· Work is performed in an office and industrial-manufacturing environment with significant time spent working on a computer or at a desk
