Installation Technician (Travel Required)
Pay: $22–$26 /Hour (Based on Experience)
We're hiring an Installation Technician to join a growing team installing specialized equipment and storage systems throughout the region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys hands-on work, travel, and learning advanced equipment—including PLC-controlled systems.
What You'll Do
- Install and service specialized equipment and systems at customer locations
- Use hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment safely
- Read and follow installation plans and work instructions
- Assist with mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and field modifications
- Work alongside an experienced installation team while developing leadership skills
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical, construction, HVAC, or installation experience
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Basic welding experience preferred
- Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and willingness to learn
- Coachable with leadership potential
- Self-starter who works well in a team environment
- Experience with ROK2, Kardex, or Spacesaver systems is a plus
- PLC experience is highly preferred and qualifies for higher starting pay
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Forklift Certification
Travel & Schedule
- Travel approximately 25–30%
- Installation projects typically last 6–8 months
- Trips range from 1–3 weeks at a time
- If a job site is more than 2 hours from the office, technicians stay near the project during the week and return home on weekends
- Average 50 hours per week
- Company vehicle and equipment provided for work travel
Pay
- $22/hour starting for candidates with PLC exposure
- Up to $26 /hour depending on experience and qualifications
