Position Overview

Our client is a wealth management firm is hiring a Lead Advisor for their team. The Lead/Service Advisor is a key driver of business growth, responsible for revenue generation, client acquisition, and ongoing financial planning support. This role involves conducting financial assessments, delivering tailored recommendations, managing client relationships, and overseeing case preparation and policy servicing. The Lead/Service Advisor acts as a trusted partner in the financial planning process, ensuring high-quality service to both prospective and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute strategies to attract and convert new prospects into clients.
  • Conduct initial consultations and FactFinder meetings to assess client financial situations, goals, and risk tolerance.
  • Prepare and present customized financial plans, investment recommendations, and case findings.
  • Follow up with prospective clients to address concerns, refine recommendations, and close business.
  • Leverage networking, referrals, and marketing strategies to expand the firm’s client base.

Financial Planning & Case Management

  • Gather and analyze financial data to create tailored wealth management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with the advisory team to build planning analysis and recommendations.
  • Conduct research on investment products, insurance solutions, and estate planning strategies.
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients in an engaging and informative manner.
  • Stay current on market trends, regulations, and financial planning strategies.

Client Service & Account Management

  • Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries, account updates, and service requests.
  • Manage policy owner services, including processing changes, beneficiary updates, and policy reviews.
  • Handle one-off client phone calls and inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
  • Monitor client accounts, ensuring proper execution of transactions and ongoing plan adjustments.
  • Maintain detailed case notes, documentation, and compliance records.

Operational Support & Calendar Management

  • Assist in preparing meeting materials, illustrations, and policy documentation.
  • Manage scheduling of client meetings, follow-ups, and internal strategy discussions.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between clients, advisors, and support teams.
  • Participate in team meetings to review case prep, client needs, and strategic planning.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Licensing & Registration: willingness to take necessary securities and financial planning related coursework and exams.
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree and minimum 7 years of work experience.
  • Skills & Attributes:

o High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

o Strong interpersonal and communication skills—must be client-focused and relationship-driven.

o Passion for financial planning and helping clients achieve their goals.

o Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide clear, strategic recommendations.

o Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently and within a team.

o Strong proficiency in financial planning software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office.

Salary: 85-120k base

Location: 2 days in office - San Diego or West Coast Cities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
