What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Coordinator position at Le Malt Hospitality Group?
Event Planner / Events & Private Dining Manager
Le Malt Hospitality Group (Le Malt Hospitality Group – including Meximodo and Le Malt concepts)
Le Malt Hospitality Group is seeking a high-energy, highly organized Event Planner to lead private dining, celebrations, and buyout events across select locations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on people, sales, and hospitality — someone who can turn an inquiry into a booked event and a booked event into repeat business.
This position will focus primarily on Le Malt and Meximodo Metuchen, with collaboration and occasional support across other locations as needed.
What You'll Do
- Own the full lifecycle of events: inquiry, planning, sales, execution, and follow-up
- Sell and plan a wide range of events — from corporate buyouts and networking events to birthdays, anniversaries, and family celebrations
- Manage event bookings using Perfect Venue and reservations through OpenTable
- Build strong relationships with corporate clients, local businesses, and repeat guests
- Collaborate closely with chefs and restaurant managers to coordinate menus, timing, staffing, and service details
- Act as the main point of contact for clients before, during, and after their events
- Ensure every event reflects the brand, runs smoothly, and leaves guests excited to return
- Track leads, conversions, and event details with strong organization and follow-through
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience planning and selling restaurant events and private parties
- Strong working knowledge of OpenTable required
- Perfect Venue experience strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A confident, outgoing "party personality" with strong sales instincts
- Ability to communicate professionally with clients, chefs, and management
- Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and solutions-focused
- Hospitality experience required
Schedule & Availability
- Nights, weekends, and varying hours are required
- Occasional travel between locations
- Flexibility is essential — events don't run on a 9–5 schedule
Why This Role Matters
This role directly impacts guest experience, revenue growth, and repeat business. The right person will not just plan events — they'll create experiences that keep guests coming back again and again.
