LCB Senior Living is looking for an experienced Regional Human Resources Director (RHRD). The RHRD provides Human Resources leadership and support to one or more of the Company’s operating divisions. The RHRD assists senior management to create appropriate Human Resource policies and procedures and then establishes and/or implements practices that will provide an associate-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, standards and goal attainment. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: a. Job experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role in assisted living or healthcare. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience providing program oversight in an organization providing multi state operations. b. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The ability interpret regulatory requirements, to support and monitor community compliance. Knowledge of local, state and federal laws. PHR/SPHR preferred. c. The ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing is required. d. Requires frequent lifting, bending, stretching, kneeling and standing for extended periods of time. e. Education/License: Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance. f. Experience: Ten or more years of Human Resources experience in recruiting, training and managing associate relations issues. g. Technical skills: Excellent communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Detail oriented and able to manage multiple task scenarios. Able to function in a start-up environment. h. Behavioral Skills: Team building. Commitment to task. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential duties and responsibilities described below are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the basic functions of this position. Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community. 2. As a key member of management you are expected to have an active role in growing community occupancy by representing and interacting positively with potential residents, family members and professionals. 3. Proactively communicate and consult with members of senior management on issues related to Human Resources. 4. In partnership with senior management, develop and communicate Human Resources policies and procedures which are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. 5. Respond to and investigate associate relations issues such as associate complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints, working with the legal department for direction as appropriate. 6. Coach and counsel communities regarding associate corrective actions and continuous associate improvement. 7. Assist with creating the Health Benefit Plans for the company as well as assist with negotiations of cost. 8. Facilitate and/or provide training (including orientation) to both community department heads and the broader workforce as necessary. This would include, among other things, training related to frontline staff recruiting, pre-employment screening, use of LCB Senior Living systems and vendors and policies and procedures. September 2020 9. Assist with maintenance and coordination of associate recognition programs. 10. Assist in onboarding of new communities, to include benefit discussions and completion of associate screenings and backgrounds. 11. Interview, screen, and recruit job applicants to fill entry level, professional and technical job openings. Also, may include attending job fairs and networking associations at the direction of the community, Regional Director of Operations or Senior Vice President of Human Resources. 12. Review applications and interview applicants to match experience with specific job-related requirements. 13. Review community compliance with LCB Senior Living policies. 14. Assist with designing, implementation and maintaining of an HR Intranet. 15. Travel as needed 16. Multi-state/location experience essential. 17. Computer literacy. 18. Qualifications:PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Good physical and mental health. Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment. Visual and auditory acuity. Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty-five (25) lbs., and be able to carry objects. Must be able to continuously walk, sit and stand. Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate. Must be able to use a computer for extended periods. Must be able to travel by car, plane or other forms of transportation and stay overnight as required. Must use good body mechanics. Must project a positive attitude towards the service provided. Associate may be subject to potential exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials, and to handling hazardous chemicals (either Category 1 or 2).
