The primary role of every LBU Team member is to FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISSION. As we accomplish this, every team member embraces anything that needs to be accomplished to make LBU a successful and better place to equip our students and stakeholders for the Great Commission. This may entail serving in any department as needed. Our President leads us in this effort, thus aligning ourselves with the President’s vision is a critical role of every LBU team member.
The Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth office operations and providing exceptional support to the team, students, and guests. Reporting to the Director of Operations and Academic Dean, this role requires excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage a variety of administrative and event-related tasks within a medium-sized team.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, or transfer to voicemail
- Welcome guests warmly and offer refreshments to create a “WOW” positive first impression
- Assist with event setup, decorations, and catering arrangements
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office area and team break room
- Prepare and distribute paper applications and brochures for leadership travel or visits
- Coordinate student transcript requests and manage student drop/hold status
- Manage shipping, ordering, and inventory of office supplies
- Provide administrative support for all Deans and assist with financial tasks
- Provide administrative support for Prison Ministries by grading undergraduate courses and handling student communication
- Coordinate major events such as Graduation and the annual "Maximize" conference
- Additional responsibilities will be assigned to accomplish the vision of LBU Global
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in administrative support
- Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong customer service and time management skills
- Experience with event coordination and data entry
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and multitasking ability
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Willingness to travel 1-2 times per year with a valid passport
In our beginning, LBU focused on education degrees to prepare future pastors and teachers. Over the decades, the curriculum expanded to include Christian Counseling and Leadership degrees. Even with our changes, LBU remains grounded in its biblical heritage and dedication to equipping students to fulfill the Great Commission.
Salary : $25,000 - $28,000
