Marketing Analyst

Position Purpose:

The Marketing Analyst will be an important member of the Marketing Group. In this role, you will take ownership in providing key support towards the advancement of new business opportunities, as well as ensuring the continued success of ongoing sales activity. This position has a high level of visibility within the organization and represents an excellent opportunity with a proven leader in the midstream sector.

Primary Responsibility:

• Contribute directly to meeting or exceeding stated goals and revenue targets for the US Region with the support of the Vice President of Marketing & Business Development
• Assist account managers with monitoring sales performance at each designated facility as it relates to financial budgets
• Prepare and internally present detailed market analysis reports
• Help identify areas where accretive capital projects (expansion, new assets, etc.) can be justified based on cost savings and/or incremental revenue
• Put together presentations as may be needed for reports, Customer meetings, or other required reviews
• Generate revenue reports and other reports as needed (such as top revenues by customer, etc.), and be able to track performance during the course of the year
• Sets an example by supporting and following all requisite company Safety, Health, and Environmental policies
• Assists and ensures timely collection of accounts receivable
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in petroleum and chemical industry consisting of commercial, operations, transportation logistics, or customer service preferred
• Ability to fluently manipulate and utilize spreadsheets, proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business applications required
• Knowledge of characteristics and handling requirements of various petroleum and chemical products a plus
• Ability to effectively communicate across various levels of management through excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid understanding of general terminal operations and terminal industry marketing a plus
• Proven conceptual and analytical thinker in complex and/or completely new situations
• Driven with high internal motivation; minimal direct supervision required
• Must possess strong organizational skills and provide attention to detail
• Must be able to work effectively as part of a team
• High EQ person with excellent time management skills
• Excellent analytical skills necessary

WORKPLACE SAFETY

Required Physical Abilities:

• Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.

Outside:

• Must be capable of operating personal vehicle in accordance with company policy and be licensed by the State of Texas to operate the vehicle. Use of personal vehicle for Regional travel required.

Inside:

• Work is conducted indoors in an office environment with sitting majority of the time.
• Heavy computer use.
