Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal decal adhesion and finish quality.
- Carefully apply decals, graphics, vinyl wraps, and lettering using hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and buffing techniques.
- Measure and cut materials accurately to fit various vehicle sizes and shapes.
- Use auto body repair skills such as auto painting, auto glass installation, and auto restoration techniques to achieve seamless results.
- Operate heavy lifting equipment safely when handling large or heavy vehicle parts or graphic materials.
- Conduct quality checks on finished work to ensure proper alignment, adhesion, and overall appearance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
- Other Shop support duties depending on work flow.
Requirements
- Proven experience or background in automotive customization is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in auto body repair, auto painting, detailing, or auto restoration.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, buffing machines, and auto glass installation tools.
- Experience with auto estimating or customer service roles related to vehicle modifications is a plus.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
- Ability to drive step vans to support effective flow of operation.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to ensure flawless application of graphics and decals.
