Barista and Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring that every customer has a delightful experience.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks with precision and care.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash transactions and providing accurate change.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations based on their preferences while delivering outstanding customer service.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain high hygiene practices in food preparation areas.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Stay updated on menu items, promotions, and new products to effectively engage customers in sales conversations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food service or retail industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math skills for accurate transactions.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus; training will be provided for those new to the industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous but not required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
