Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food prep to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Cook and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Support menu planning by preparing components for daily specials and regular offerings
- Maintain cleanliness of work stations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations as needed
- Serve food efficiently while providing friendly, attentive service to guests or staff
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques is essential
- Familiarity with culinary tools such as knives and other kitchen equipment is a plus
- Experience with meal planning, food industry standards, or catering services will set you apart
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking methods are important for success
- Prior kitchen or restaurant experience demonstrating teamwork and multitasking abilities
