Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Execution
- Create short-form video content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- Assist in producing long-form content for YouTube and other platforms as needed
- Capture in-store content including live breaks, product showcases, events, and customer interactions
- Develop creative concepts that align with current trends and brand messaging
- Serve as on-camera talent when needed for videos, promotions, and social content
- Communicate product features, releases, and hobby insights in an engaging and relatable way
- Help bring personality and authenticity to the Layton brand across all content
- Work closely with the Social Media Coordinator, Video Editor, and Marketing team
- Align content with campaign goals, promotions, and product launches
- Ensure all content reflects brand standards, tone, and messaging
- Stay current on social media trends, viral formats, and platform updates
- Contribute ideas for content calendars, campaigns, and creative direction
- Identify opportunities to capitalize on sports moments, gaming releases, and hobby trends
- Assist with organizing and managing content assets
- Support live-stream teams with behind-the-scenes or promotional content
- Participate in events, trade nights, and special activations for content capture
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and short-form video trends
- Comfortable being on camera and engaging with an audience
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate original content ideas
- Strong communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, content-driven environment
- Basic video recording and editing knowledge (iPhone or camera-based)
- Interest in sports, gaming, or collectibles
- Experience creating content for brands, social media, or personal platforms
- Familiarity with sports cards, TCGs, or gaming culture
- Experience with video editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, etc.)
- Understanding of live-stream or live-commerce environments
- Ability to move throughout the store and capture content in various areas
- Ability to stand for extended periods during filming or events
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when handling products or equipment
- Fast-paced retail and content production environment
- Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and live event coverage
