Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently maintain patients' medical records, including demographic information, test results, medication lists, and treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and company policies
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in medical records, and communicate with healthcare providers and staff as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance medical records processes and patient care
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate seamless communication and information exchange
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Requirements:
- 0 years of experience in medical records or a related field
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or certifications in medical records, health information technology, or a related field a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and medical records software a plus
