Temporary | Receptionist (4 - 6 weeks)

Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio company is actively recruiting for a Temporary Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator for a 4 - 6 week onsite assignment for a law firm client in Washington, DC.

Location: Capitol Hill, Washington, DC (Walkable from Union Station)
Pay Rate: $25 - $28/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch)
Duration: Approximately 1 month
Interview Process: Onsite interview required

Position Overview

The Receptionist/Front Desk Coordinator is polished, professional, and reliable and will provide coverage during an upcoming leave of absence.

This role serves as the face of the office and is ideal for someone with strong customer service, communication, and administrative skills who thrives in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact at the front desk, greeting and assisting visitors.
• Manage visitor check-in procedures and ensure guests receive required access credentials before leaving the office.
• Learn and follow unique visitor management and security protocols.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently.
• Schedule and coordinate conference room reservations using EMS (Event Management System) software.
• Gather meeting requirements, including attendee counts, meeting times, and room setup needs.
• Partner closely with meeting room management staff to ensure conference room needs are met.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming office environment at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous front desk, receptionist, administrative support, or office coordination experience.
• Experience with EMS (Event Management System) software is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with excellent customer service abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to arriving early and being ready to work promptly at 9:00 AM.
• Comfortable working within a security-conscious environment and following visitor management procedures.
• Polished and professional presentation.
• Business casual attire appropriate for a corporate office setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent service.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
