CONTRACT | Litigation Docketing Specialist

Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio Company, is urgently seeking TWO (2) contract Litigation Docketing Specialists for a remote assignment to support one of our law firm clients.

Pay Rate: $35/hour

Location: Remote

Duration: open-ended contract

Responsibilities

• Contractors will be supporting various litigation teams, firm employees and contract attorneys, with their litigation docketing.
• Constant communication between administrative assistants and attorneys is required.
• Candidates should also have knowledge of the litigation lifecycle, legal procedures, terminology, and court rules in both federal and state courts. They must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and effectively summarize findings.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of docketing experience in a law firm setting is required.
• Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills, and a strong work ethic, with the ability to take direction without constant supervision.
• Prior experience computing deadlines in both federal and state courts is essential, with experience in CompuLaw Vision preferred, and familiarity with rules-based calendaring software such as Milana considered helpful.
• California State Rules knowledge is required for this role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism and diplomacy.
