We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to support our foundry pattern shop operations in Minster, Ohio. If you have a strong mechanical background and experience with Routers and CNC controls, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
Pay & Schedule
- $25–$30/hour based on experience
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–2:00 PM
- Overtime as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain CNC Router
- Interpret blueprints, instructions, and samples to ensure accuracy
- Measure and verify dimensions using OD micrometers and precision tools
- Set machine parameters and plan task sequences in an ISO-certified shop
- Perform basic maintenance and minor machine repairs
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed
- Support the team with related shop tasks
- Receive routing files electronically and transfer designs to the cutting table. Designs may include but are not limited to letters, numbers, customized symbols and shapes.
- Use router to make cuts with appropriate blade, speed and design.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of CNC machining experience, preferably with VTLs, routers, and mills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Skilled in the use of large OD micrometers and precision tools
- Experience with safe forklift operations (certification preferred)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of CNC setup experience
- Experience machining and wood working skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and adjust programs/tooling for dimensional accuracy
- Experience editing or programming directly on the machine
- Must pass physical assessment and drug screening
