Key Responsibilities
Central Supply Responsibilities
- Order, receive, stock, and distribute medical supplies and equipment throughout the facility.
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively reorder supplies to prevent shortages.
- Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality and address discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant storage areas.
- Track and document inventory usage and supply records.
- Maintain, organize, file, and retrieve resident medical records accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure records are complete, current, and securely maintained in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist nursing staff and healthcare providers with accessing and updating resident information.
- Support compliance with state, federal, and facility documentation standards.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation.
- Assist with audits, inventory reporting, and record management projects.
- Collaborate with nursing, administration, and other departments to ensure effective communication and workflow.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or healthcare-related certification preferred.
- Previous experience in central supply, medical records, or healthcare administration is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and healthcare computer systems.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Ability to lift, move, and organize medical supplies and equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
