The Lawrence Jewish Community Congregation (LJCC) is seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Office Administrator to help keep our small but vibrant synagogue running smoothly. This part-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and values working in a welcoming, community-focused environment.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll be the friendly face of the LJCC—managing daily office operations, assisting members and visitors, coordinating building needs, and keeping our finances and records organized. Responsibilities include:
- Handling bookkeeping tasks (QuickBooks, deposits, payroll support)
- Communicating with members, vendors and visitors
- Coordinating the maintenance and functionality of our building and property
- Providing administrative support to staff, board, and committees including grant management
- Supporting programs and events
What We’re Looking For:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and multitask
- High school diploma (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Familiarity with Jewish customs and/or ShulCloud a plus
