I'm working with a rapidly growing AI infrastructure startup that's looking for a Head of Engineering to partner directly with the founders and build the next phase of the engineering organization.

What you'll be doing:
• Lead and scale the engineering organization.
• Build hiring processes and significantly grow the team.
• Partner directly with the founders on technical strategy and execution.
• Drive engineering excellence while maintaining startup speed.
• Mentor engineers and establish scalable engineering processes.
• Stay hands-on while leading a high-performing technical organization.
What they're looking for:
• Experience as a Head of Engineering, Director of Engineering, or senior Engineering Manager at a high-growth startup.
• Strong technical background in distributed systems, infrastructure, developer tools, AI infrastructure, or APIs.
• Experience leading engineering teams through rapid growth.
• Proven track record of hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers.
• Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous startup environments.
• Rust or Python experience is highly desirable.
Compensation & Location:
• Base Salary: $250K–$500K
• Meaningful equity
• San Francisco (onsite)
• High-intensity startup environment (~60-hour weeks)
