Director, Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture
Iselin, NJ (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
$170K–$210K base bonus 401k match full benefits
You know the type of role where you’re not just “doing architecture”… you’re defining how the entire business scales? This is that.
I’m partnered with a global, mission-critical financial infrastructure organization operating at serious scale. They’re looking for a Director-level leader to act as the senior design authority across their entire technology landscape – someone who can step in, assess what exists, and build what’s next.
This is high-impact, high-visibility. You’ll be working directly with the Head of Infrastructure Engineering & Support and influencing C-suite level decisions on how the business evolves technically.
What you’ll actually be doing:
- Owning the enterprise architecture vision across a complex, regulated environment
- Defining and driving long-term technology strategy and roadmaps
- Partnering with senior business IT leadership to align tech with commercial goals
- Acting as the architectural gatekeeper across major delivery initiatives
- Leading architecture governance, standards, and best practices across the org
- Influencing cloud strategy, systems integration, and large-scale infrastructure design
What they need:
- Proven background as a senior Solution / Enterprise Architect in complex environments (financial services is a big plus)
- Someone who’s built and governed architecture frameworks, not just contributed to them
- Strong experience across multiple domains (cloud, data, infra, security, etc.)
- Comfortable operating at both 10,000 ft strategy level and in the weeds when needed
- Executive presence – you can challenge, influence, and align senior stakeholders
Why it’s interesting:
- True ownership of enterprise architecture direction
- Direct line into senior leadership and decision making
- Complex, global systems – not a “keep the lights on” environment
- Opportunity to modernize and shape future-state architecture at scale
If you’re someone who’s been operating at a high level architecturally but wants more influence, more ownership, and a bigger seat at the table – this is that move.
