Who we are

Lawrence Hall is a Chicago-based nonprofit social services agency that provides therapeutic, wellness, and skill development services to youth, families, and neighborhoods affected by lasting trauma. We foster healing and growth through empowerment, respect, safety, and teamwork.

Our Child & Family Treatment Center (CFTC) is a 24-hour residential program serving youth ages 8–18 referred through DCFS and ISBE who are experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. Using a trauma-informed approach, we support youth in building the skills needed for long-term stability and well-being.

The Role: Clinical Team Lead

Are you a licensed clinician (LCSW/LCPC) ready to transition from a full caseload into a leadership role? At Lawrence Hall, we provide the training and clinical infrastructure you need to move from direct service into program management. Whether your background is in outpatient care, private practice, or community health, we will support your growth into a clinical leader.

As a Clinical Manager (Licensed Milieu Supervisor), you will serve as a clinical leader within a residential child welfare setting. You will be responsible for maintaining consistency, quality, and compliance across clinical services within a DCFS-regulated residential program. In this role, you'll guide and support a multidisciplinary team-including therapists, case managers, and unit staff-delivering trauma-informed care to youth with complex needs.

This position is ideal for a licensed clinician who is ready to grow into or further develop their leadership skills. You'll play a key role in strengthening clinical practice, supporting team effectiveness, and ensuring high-quality care within a structured, highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Supervision

  • Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and support to a multidisciplinary team (Therapists, Case Managers, and Unit Coordinators)
  • Guide treatment planning to ensure care is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and aligned with client needs
  • Support staff development through reflective supervision, feedback, and reinforcement of clinical expectations

Program & Care Oversight

  • Maintain consistency and quality of care through supervision, documentation review, and team alignment
  • Co-facilitate team meetings, treatment staffings, and care coordination efforts to ensure clear communication and follow-through
  • Partner with leadership to support staff performance, accountability, and professional development

Systems & Compliance

  • Oversee documentation and service delivery to meet agency, Medicaid, and DCFS standards
  • Review incident reports, safety documentation, and client records for quality and compliance
  • Learn and apply child welfare regulations and residential care practices with provided training and support

Program Operations & Support

  • Identify trends in program performance and support implementation of quality improvement efforts
  • Support day-to-day program needs in a 24-hour residential environment
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to program needs or crises as they arise

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Current Illinois Licensure (LCSW, LCPC, or Psychologist) is required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in behavioral health or human services.
  • Leadership Aptitude: 1–2 years of supervisory experience is preferred, but we will support the growth of a highly skilled clinician ready for their first leadership role.
  • Valid Illinois driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.

This is a full-time, on-site position located at our Francisco Avenue campus. The role requires a presence across a mix of standard daytime and mid-shift hours to ensure clinical continuity within a 24-hour residential environment.
