Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems to ensure efficient landscape care.
- Perform mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to maintain healthy lawns and gardens.
- Identify different plant species and diagnose issues related to pests or diseases; apply appropriate pesticide management techniques following safety protocols..
- Conduct landscape enhancements such as hardscape installation and tree trimming to improve property aesthetics and safety.
- Follow strict safety protocols during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.
Experience
- Prior outdoor work experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of lawn care equipment, power tools, and groundskeeping machinery is essential.
- Familiarity with horticulture principles, plant identification, and landscape design enhances job performance.
- Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators or tree care equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction or hardscape installation can be beneficial for specialized projects.
- Ability to adhere to safety standards while managing multiple tasks in outdoor environments is required.
