The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of plants, trees, and shrubs and the ability to manage a team of landscape workers.
Landscape Foreman Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise landscape projects, including preparing estimates, planning the landscape design, scheduling work, and supervising work crews
- Consult with clients to determine their landscaping needs
- Ensure that landscaping projects are completed on time and meet customer expectations
- Perform hands-on tasks such as planting, mowing, pruning, and trimming
- Monitor and maintain the quality of the landscaping projects
- Ensure that proper safety and security protocols are followed
- Train and oversee landscape workers and ensure that they are following company policies and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in landscaping or a related field
- Knowledge of plants, trees, and shrubs
- Able to work in a variety of weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Able to lift and carry heavy objects
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
