Our dynamic Law Office is seeking a highly-skilled and self-motivated Immigration Court Paralegal to join our growing team. Someone who is organized, detail-oriented, punctual and reliable. Must be BI-LINGUAL (Spanish/English)
Responsibilities:
- 2 years immigration court experience handling both Master and Individual hearings
- Proficient knowledge and experienced handling cases before EOIR such as; Asylum, 42B, 42A, Motions, eservice, and Adjustment of status.
- Calendaring, filing applications, and knowledge of EOIR court system.
- Must have experience with USCIS Applications:
- Family-based petitions
- Waivers
- U-visa/VAWA
Skills:
- Dependable and able to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, photocopying, collating, faxing, and organizing client database
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Solid written and verbal communication skills (Spanish/English)
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
