Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our growing legal team. In this vital role, you will support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation and pre-litigation - mainly focusing on civil litigation of Personal Injury and Lemon Law cases, ensuring smooth case progression from inception to resolution. Your expertise will help streamline legal processes, manage complex documentation, and facilitate effective communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case preparation by organizing and maintaining legal documents, pleadings, discovery materials, and correspondence using document management systems such as WestLaw and MerusCase.
- Conduct thorough legal research in personal injury law, and lemon law to draft documents and support case strategies.
- Draft and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, contracts, and discovery requests with precision and clarity.
- Manage case files meticulously, ensuring all documents are properly filed electronically and physically in accordance with court rules and firm policies.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, court appearances, client meetings, and other key events while maintaining effective communication with clients and defense counsel.
- Perform detailed document review for relevance and privilege; assist in preparing exhibits and summaries for trial or settlement negotiations.
- Support attorneys in preparing for hearings, arbitration, mediation and trial by organizing exhibits, witness lists, and other materials.
- Utilize legal research tools like Westlaw or LexisNexis to gather pertinent case law, statutes, regulations, and legal precedents.
- Maintain accurate data entry of case information into case management software such as Merus, Zoho, OneDrive and Files (macOS).
- Provide executive administrative support including managing calendars, mail, and drafting correspondence,
- Handling phone inquiries and client intakes with professionalism and courtesy.
- Assist in project management tasks related to ongoing litigation projects to ensure deadlines are calendared and met efficiently.
Skills

- Proven paralegal experience with a strong understanding of civil litigation processes from pre-litigation, litigation, to trial preparation.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with legal databases like MerusCase, and Zoho.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong writing skills for drafting pleadings, motions, discover, reports, and correspondence that are clear and persuasive.
- Detail-oriented approach to document review, proofreading, transcription, and data entry tasks.
- Knowledge of various practice areas including personal injury, and lemon law.
- Strong research skills combined with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly for attorneys’ use.
- Effective communication skills including phone etiquette and professional interaction with clients and colleagues alike.
- Ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
