What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney Plaintiff's Side Litigation position at Law Offices of Richard Kim PC?
Associate Attorney — Plaintiff-Side Litigation
We're a plaintiff-side personal injury and employment litigation firm looking for a litigation associate to independently manage a caseload of contested matters. This is a role for a lawyer who's ready to run files, not shadow them.
What you'll do
You'll carry your own docket of PI and employment cases from workup through resolution: propounding and responding to written discovery, noticing and taking depositions, appearing at case management conferences and law-and-motion hearings, drafting and arguing motions, and owning the calendar and deadlines on your matters. You'll work directly with the principal on case strategy and get real autonomy on execution.
Who we're looking for
- 4-6 years of California civil litigation experience, plaintiff-side preferred
- A track record of independently managing a litigation caseload, including discovery, depositions, and motion practice
- Comfortable in court and comfortable owning deadlines without hand-holding
- Trial experience a plus
- Experience with personal injury and/or employment (FEHA, PAGA, wage-and-hour) is a strong plus
- Active membership in the State Bar of California and good standing
Compensation
$120,000–$180,000 depending on experience, plus benefits. Results-based bonus potential tied to case outcomes.
