Who We Are
The Law Offices of Peter J. Lamont, LLC is a small firm located in Wyckoff, NJ. Our practice is dynamic with a strong focus on commercial litigation, real estate litigation, all things business law, and real estate transactions (both residential and commercial). Our goal is to provide high-level legal services to companies and individuals great and small.
Who You Are
We are looking for an individual who is either experienced in our areas of law or excited about learning it. Since we are a mostly paper-free firm, you need to be able to navigate the softwares and technologies we utilize. We don't expect you to know everything, but we want you to ask questions. We don't expect perfection, but we expect accountability so that we can all learn and grow together.
Hours
We are marketing this position as part-time or full-time since the best candidate may not be free 40 hours per week. So we encourage you to apply if you have anywhere between 20-40 hours of availability. Please provide in your application documents if you are applying for full or part time and how many hours per week you are free and if there are specific days you cannot work.
Pay
Compensation is dependent on experience. Part-time employees are paid hourly, and full-time employees are paid a salary. The maximum rate of pay of $62,000 is for full-time.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- At least 5 years of experience supporting attorneys at a civil litigation law firm
- A bachelor's degree
- Experience using Apple computer products
- Advanced expertise with Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Comfortable talking to people on the phone
- Very detail-oriented and organized
