What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Law office?
- Provide substantial paralegal support to attorney in all aspects of family law cases.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and memorandum of law.
- Assist in case preparation, including discovery, research, client meetings, and trial preparation.
- Maintain case calendar and monitor deadlines.
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other professionals in a professional and empathetic manner.
-Associates degree or certificate in paralegal studies.
-Minimum of two years' experience in a law firm setting, preferably in family law.
-Familiarity with California family law and court procedures.
-Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
-Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
-Minimal supervision.
