Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to assist our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in immigration law, with proficiency in legal research, drafting, and administrative tasks. This role is essential in supporting our attorneys by managing case files, conducting legal research, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and timely.

Case Preparation, Litigation Support, & Case Management

  • Assist attorneys with preparation and filing of immigration court motions, briefs, and appeals before EOIR within in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Draft legal documents including motions and supporting declarations for asylum, cancellation of removal, and green card applications.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage accurate and organized physical and electronic case files by tracking litigation deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements to ensure compliance for Immigration Court and BIA filings.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status, appointments, and court dates.
  • Update case management systems with notes, deadlines, and document uploads and regularly provide updates to assigned attorney
  • Assist with country conditions research and preparation of supporting documentation for asylum and humanitarian cases.
  • If bilingual, translate documents and interpret communications between attorneys and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Spanish/French and English (written and spoken) is required.
  • MINIMUM 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE working as an immigration paralegal, with specific experience in EOIR.
  • Strong knowledge of immigration forms, procedures, and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and government agencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software (e.g., Practice Panther, Mycase, Clio, Zoom, or similar platforms).
  • Academic Qualifications: Associates Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience handling asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers, U Visa, and adjustment of status cases.
  • Familiarity with immigration court procedures and case preparation for master and individual hearings. years of experience working as an immigration paralegal.
