Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Smithtown, NY for a Real Estate Attorney. The responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, leases, and other legal documents. The attorney will manage due diligence processes for real estate transactions and provide legal counsel to clients on commercial and residential real estate matters. Additional responsibilities include advising on real estate development projects and representing clients during closings and negotiations.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Real Estate Law and related legal principles
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing leases and understanding landlord-tenant and lease agreements
- Experience conducting due diligence in real estate transactions, ensuring legal and financial accuracy
- Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate and Real Estate Development processes
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and membership in the New York State Bar
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and prioritize deadlines effectively
- Experience working with a diverse clientele is a plus
