A well-established and growing California litigation firm is seeking Unlawful Detainer Trial Attorneys to join its expanding Landlord-Tenant Litigation practice. Key Responsibilities:
- Handle unlawful detainer matters from inception through trial and resolution.
- Appear regularly for hearings, bench trials, and jury trials.
- Draft pleadings, motions, trial briefs, and other litigation documents.
- Develop case strategy and collaborate with senior attorneys on complex landlord-tenant matters.
- Conduct legal research, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in court proceedings.
- Manage a high-volume litigation caseload while maintaining strong client communication.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar license required.
- 3 years of litigation experience with unlawful detainer or landlord-tenant matters preferred.
- Trial experience in civil litigation is highly valued.
- Strong motion drafting, courtroom advocacy, legal research, and case management skills.
- Ability to independently manage cases while working collaboratively within a team environment.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $275,000. Factors that may affect compensation include experience, skills, education, transferable expertise, and other job-related qualifications.
Additional compensation may include:
- Billable performance bonus
- Discretionary year-end bonus
- Origination bonus opportunities for attorneys with a transferable book of business
