This position offers the opportunity to handle a diverse insurance defense caseload, work closely with experienced litigators, and take ownership of cases from early litigation through resolution. Responsibilities
- Manage Insurance Defense matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs
- Conduct depositions and attend hearings
- Handle discovery and negotiate settlements
- Communicate directly with clients and insurance carriers
- Prepare cases for mediation and trial
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active New Mexico Bar license (or ability to become licensed)
- 2-10 years of Insurance Defense experience
- Strong litigation, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $200,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
