What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant - Part Time position at Law Firm?
Solo, Female, Attorney has an opening for a Legal Assistant to assist her with her Estate Planning and Probate practice. This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday and is “in office”.
This Legal Assistant may or may not have experience in Estate Planning and/or Probate as it is not a mandatory requirement. However, you must have some type of Legal Assistant experience in order to do the basic clerical tasks including e-filing with the court.
Requirements:
· Must work “in office”
· 20 hours per week, somewhat flexible
· Know how to e-file documents with the Court
· Be computer savvy and able to type efficiently
· Be empathetic
Basic Duties:
· Answer phones
· Able to type correspondence and legal documents
· Assemble Trust and Estate Planning Binders
· Data entry
· Filing and scanning
· Opening mail
· Calendaring important dates
