Position Overview
As our firm’s Legal Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors. You will manage our front desk, provide a polished and professional welcome, and ensure smooth communication within the office. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and comfort with technology. You will also provide administrative support to attorneys and staff, making you an essential part of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and route incoming phone calls promptly and professionally
- Greet clients and visitors, maintain a welcoming and tidy reception area, and ensure guests are comfortable
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar as needed
- Draft, proofread, and distribute correspondence
- Scan, photocopy, and file documents both electronically and physically
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys and staff as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior receptionist or administrative experience required (law firm experience a plus)
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, grammar, and spelling
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
- Comfort with office equipment, phone systems, and new technology
- Ability to multi-task, follow directions, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
