Key Responsibilities
- Assist with estimating, bidding, and preparing proposals for plumbing and mechanical construction projects.
- Support project managers and estimators with day-to-day project coordination and administrative responsibilities.
- Assist with procurement, material purchasing, subcontractor coordination, and vendor communications.
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to support estimating and project execution.
- Track project information, documentation, schedules, materials, and costs.
- Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, customers, and internal team members to help ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
- Participate in project meetings and assist with resolving project-related issues.
- Conduct occasional jobsite visits to observe construction progress, coordinate with field personnel, and gain hands-on knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Develop an understanding of construction processes, project financials, estimating practices, and overall business operations.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support the Plumbing and Mechanical divisions.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in construction, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical contracting, estimating, or project management is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn industry-specific software and systems.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
- Willingness to occasionally visit active construction jobsites.
- A strong work ethic, professional attitude, and desire to learn and grow within the construction industry.
