About The Role
Commissioning Coordinator

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall coordination of project commissioning and start-up deliverables to ensure that equipment is ready for operation.
- Focus is on planning, managing budgets and deficiencies, and interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordination of field commissioning activities is necessary , with a focus on hands-on execution expertise. This requires prior experience working as a technician or engineer in the field, along with the ability to perform self-commissioning tasks.
- Provide support on technical issues identified through the commissioning phase of projects and use technical expertise to resolve these issues.
- Works with project teams, construction, and operations to ensure issues are defined and resolved to ensure equipment is safe and reliable to operate
- Has strong understanding of Industry safety practices, including permitting, Lock-Out-Tag-Out and Electrical Safety
- Has strategic accountability to nurture and sustain effective relationships and performance by field services contractors.
- Provide direction, guidance and influence over a specialized commissioning group.
- Technical College Degree/Diploma
- At least 10 years of technical experience
- A technical and working knowledge of design and construction codes such as API, NEC, CEC, CSA Z662, NFPA 11, etc.
- With ability to lead and/or coordinate work with diverse groups and individual personalities as appropriate (project team, internal and external stakeholders, customers and contractors)Preferred:.
- Previous commissioning experience in oil & gas industry is an asset
- Hands on experience with rotating and static equipment
