Truss Assembler

About the Role:

The Truss Assembler plays a critical role in the construction and manufacturing industry by fabricating and assembling wooden or metal trusses that form the structural framework of buildings. The assembler will work closely with design plans and blueprints to accurately cut, position, and fasten components using various tools and machinery. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of construction materials and methods.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in truss assembly or a related construction role.
• Familiarity with automated truss manufacturing equipment.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand truss design requirements.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood or metal components using hand tools, power tools, and automated machinery.
• Secure truss components with nails, screws, bolts, or metal plates to ensure structural integrity.
• Inspect assembled trusses for quality assurance and compliance with engineering standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and resolve any assembly issues.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management promptly.
