Top Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Perform manual and semi-skilled tasks to maintain county roads and rights-of-way, including removing debris, trash, and dead animals, and placing signs for maintenance operations.
- Equipment Operation & Care: Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools—such as mowers, weed eaters, and pressure washers—while performing routine preventative maintenance and refueling to ensure all equipment remains operable.
- Operational Support: Assist with loading and unloading materials for department projects and remain available for possible on-call emergency work during evenings, nights, or weekends.
What you bring:
- Experience: Equivalent knowledge or experience in landscaping, general maintenance, or general construction.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Skill Highlight: Ability to perform physical labor in various conditions outdoors, operate small engines and various hand/power tools, and strong customer service skills.
- License/Certifications: Valid SC Driver's License.
