Overnight Baker – Laurel Supply
Laurel Supply is seeking an experienced and passionate Overnight Baker to join our growing culinary team. This position plays a key role in preparing fresh baked goods each night to ensure our bakery is fully stocked and ready for guests each morning.
The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, and finish a variety of breads, pastries, cookies, muffins, and other baked goods according to company recipes and standards.
- Mix, portion, proof, shape, and bake products while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Ensure bakery displays and back stock are prepared for daily operations.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation standards.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Properly rotate ingredients and finished products using FIFO procedures.
- Assist with inventory, receiving, and production planning as needed.
- Work independently and efficiently during overnight hours while meeting production deadlines.
Qualifications
- Previous baking or pastry experience required.
- Experience in a high-volume bakery, restaurant, grocery, or production kitchen preferred.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards.
- Ability to accurately follow recipes and production schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Availability to work overnight, weekends, and holidays as needed.
