Machine & Fabrication Shop Maintenance Technician
Pay Range: $40 - $50 per hour

Job Type: Full-time
DAY SHIFT
Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventive maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, 5-axis machines, Wire EDM, surface grinders, band saws, and other fabrication equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control issues on CNC machines and related equipment.
Repair and maintain welding equipment, including MIG and TIG systems.
Maintain facility support systems including air compressors, coolant systems, dust collection systems, and overhead cranes/hoists.
Perform general building maintenance including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical systems, and safety equipment.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe shop, office, and exterior work areas.
Coordinate waste disposal, scrap recycling, and hazardous material handling in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
Order maintenance parts, tools, and consumables while controlling costs.
Assist with developing and improving preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.
Work closely with machine operators, programmers, and leadership to quickly resolve equipment issues.
Participate in safety inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide guidance to employees on proper equipment care and basic preventive maintenance.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills/Abilities:
3 years of maintenance experience in a machine shop, fabrication, or manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment.
Working knowledge of electrical systems, motors, drives, sensors, PLC troubleshooting, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Experience maintaining welding equipment and general fabrication machinery.
Basic welding and fabrication skills for in-house repairs.
Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to comply with all company safety guidelines, OSHA requirements, and ITAR regulations.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Due to Government Contract: US Citizenship is required

Pay: Up to $50.00 per hour
