Heavy-Duty Truck and Tank Trailer Technician

Where and when
- Shift: 3rd Shift — 10:30 pm to 6:30 pm (slight flexibility on start time)
- Openness: We are open to different shifts
- Onboarding: Start on first shift, Monday–Friday
- Pay: $28–$32 per hour
What you’ll do
- Repair and maintain fleet vehicles to meet all DOT and company requirements
- Plan and track PMs, permits, registrations, annual tank tests, vehicle inspections, and safety equipment checks (fire extinguishers and more)
- Keep accurate, organized fleet records that satisfy company and regulatory guidelines
- Order parts and manage shop inventory
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
- Spot warranty opportunities, complete warranted repairs, and help recoup reimbursements
- Drive maintenance cost savings and support expense controls
- Pitch in on other projects as assigned by fleet management
What you bring
- 2 years as a diesel tractor–trailer mechanic preferred
- Tanker and Hazmat experience preferred; higher pay for advanced proficiency
- Experience with Peterbilt trucks and tanker trailers
- Personal set of tools
- Air Brake Certification
- CDL a plus
- ASE certification a plus
Skills that set you apart

- Knowledge of DOT, EPA, and OSHA
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capability
- Basic computer literacy and data entry
- Solid foundation in heavy-duty maintenance operations
Legal/Compliance
DOT Drug and DOT Physical required.
