Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Provide specialized care for diverse populations including geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, and those requiring palliative care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records for diagnosis and treatment documentation.
Skills
- Knowledge of Geriatrics care and ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism.
- Expertise in medication administration including injections and IV insertion; proficient in venipuncture and catheter care.
- Experience caring for patients with infectious diseases or requiring infection control measures; knowledgeable about HIPAA privacy standards.
- Excellent communication skills for patient care coordination, health coaching, family education, and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
