Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the dietary department staff to ensure efficient meal preparation, service, and sanitation standards are maintained.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine nutritional needs and adjust menus accordingly to support health goals.
- Manage budgeting responsibilities for the dietary department, ensuring cost-effective procurement of food supplies while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Oversee food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and documentation to comply with health regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate nutrition strategies into overall resident care plans and health coaching initiatives.
- Monitor dietary service quality through regular evaluations, feedback collection, and continuous improvement efforts.
Experience
- Proven experience in dietary management within long-term care/assisted living settings.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading dietary or food service teams.
- Strong background in dietetics, nutrition science, physiology, and care plan development.
- Familiarity with resident assessment procedures and diagnostic evaluation processes related to nutrition.
- Experience managing budgets and resource allocation within a dietary department.
- Knowledge of health coaching techniques to promote wellness among residents or patients.
