Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Certified Dietary Manager to lead and oversee the dietary operations within a long-term care/assisted living environment. In this vital role, you will ensure the delivery of nutritious, appealing, and safe meals tailored to the needs of residents. Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor personalized care plans that incorporate dietary requirements, including specialized diets.
  • Supervise and coordinate the dietary department staff to ensure efficient meal preparation, service, and sanitation standards are maintained.
  • Conduct patient assessments to determine nutritional needs and adjust menus accordingly to support health goals.
  • Manage budgeting responsibilities for the dietary department, ensuring cost-effective procurement of food supplies while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Oversee food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and documentation to comply with health regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate nutrition strategies into overall resident care plans and health coaching initiatives.
  • Monitor dietary service quality through regular evaluations, feedback collection, and continuous improvement efforts.

Experience

  • Proven experience in dietary management within long-term care/assisted living settings.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience leading dietary or food service teams.
  • Strong background in dietetics, nutrition science, physiology, and care plan development.
  • Familiarity with resident assessment procedures and diagnostic evaluation processes related to nutrition.
  • Experience managing budgets and resource allocation within a dietary department.
  • Knowledge of health coaching techniques to promote wellness among residents or patients.
