Position Summary
The Inventory Warehouse Manager oversees all aspects of inventory management and warehouse operations. This includes managing incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient space utilization, and leading a small warehouse team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive about implementing systems that improve productivity and reduce waste.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping of materials and products.
· Maintain accurate inventory levels using inventory management software (experience with ERP systems preferred).
· Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
· Develop and enforce warehouse safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies.
· Responsible for customer inventory and audits.
· Coordinate with production and purchasing teams to forecast inventory needs and prevent stock shortages or overages.
· Manage vendor relationships for logistics and supplies as needed.
· Train, schedule, and supervise warehouse staff to ensure high performance and accountability.
· Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in inventory handling.
· Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance or repairs when needed.
· Prepare and present regular reports on inventory metrics, costs, and performance.
Qualifications
Required:
· 3 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management (manufacturing or printing industry preferred).
· Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures and systems.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Leadership experience with the ability to train and motivate a team.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and warehouse management software.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate standard warehouse equipment (forklift certification a plus).
Preferred:
· Experience in the printing, packaging, or manufacturing industry.
· Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
