You will be responsible for installing playground equipment and surfacing, ensuring all structures meet safety standards and design specifications. Duties
- Read and interpret schematics, and construction plans to accurately install playground structures, surfacing, and related components
- Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and operate machinery safely and efficiently during installation processes
- Manage site preparation including excavation, concrete forming, masonry, and concrete finishing to create level foundations for playground equipment
- Install various play elements such as swings, slides, climbing structures, and safety surfacing using carpentry, roofing, framing, and trim carpentry techniques
- Ensure all installations comply with safety standards by conducting thorough inspections and quality control checks throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines while maintaining a safe work environment; manage schematics and blueprints to ensure accuracy
- Perform restoration work such as caulking, painting, plastering, stucco application, glass installation, cabinet installation, and general site cleanup
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or construction site work with a focus on outdoor or recreational installations
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating
- Hands-on experience with, or restoration projects is highly desirable
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators or loaders is a plus
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction inspection and site management
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools efficiently in diverse construction tasks
- Prior playground or recreational equipment installation experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
