What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wastewater Operator (Florida Class A or B) – Contract Coverage position at LaTrae Consulting Group?
We are actively building a pipeline of North Florida licensed Wastewater Operators for contract assignments, emergency response, and project based plant support.
Facilities across Florida require certified operators to maintain DEP compliance, especially during staffing shortages, storm response, and seasonal demand.
This is not a permanent role. This is for operators open to flexible and urgent assignments.
Responsibilities:
Operate wastewater treatment systems in compliance with Florida DEP regulations
Perform sampling, process adjustments, and system monitoring
Maintain operational logs and compliance documentation
Support plant operations during emergency or short staffed conditions
Requirements:
Active Florida DEP Wastewater Operator License Class A, B, or C
Experience in municipal wastewater treatment facilities
Availability for contract or short notice assignments
Preferred:
Class A or B license
Experience with storm response or emergency operations
Ability to operate independently in high pressure environments
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates based on experience and license level
Overtime and emergency pay available depending on assignment
