What are the responsibilities and job description for the ONSITE** Krio Interpreter position at LATN?
LATN is currently seeking freelance **ONSITE in Metro Atlanta** Krio interpreters with at least one year of interpreting experience.
THIS IS NOT A FULL-TIME POSITION-This is a freelance position with assignments available within flexible business hours, Monday through Friday on an as needed basis.
Duties:
- Provide interpreting services as an independent contractor in medical and legal and educational venues.
- Perform in accordance with the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) Code of Ethics and HIPAA regulations.
- Perform interpreting duties in a professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Must demonstrate fluency in English and a 2nd language.
- Must have flexibility to accept assignments during weekdays and business hours.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Pass a written test over the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
- Able to comply with credentialing requirements for independent contractors working in healthcare facilities.
- Able to pass language proficiency in both languages.
- Certificate of training - BRIDGING THE GAP Certificate or equivalent training course - (preferred)
- Must be punctual and responsible.
