What are the responsibilities and job description for the Products Liability Partner position at Lateral Link?
We have partnered with a leading regional law firm on several hires, including an opportunity for a service partner to join the firm's growing Products Liability group in New York City.
This group handles highly sophisticated, complex cases from multinational corporations, manufacturers, insurers, and educational institutions across the United States.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the defense of complex products liability, personal injury, and professional malpractice actions from inception through resolution or trial.
- Draft and argue complex motions and handle appeals in state and federal courts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with partners and associates across different offices and practice groups.
- Work directly with clients, including corporate legal departments, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators to develop and execute sophisticated legal and risk-mitigation strategies.
- Participate actively in the firm's strategic client-development initiatives and lateral network expansion.
What the firm is looking for:
- A minimum of 7 years of litigation experience, with a heavy emphasis on torts and products liability matters.
- Must be actively licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York State.
- Superior verbal communication, writing clarity, and interpersonal skills are mandatory. Must demonstrate a high degree of technological competence for efficient legal delivery.
- Proven track record of independently managing case files, interacting with clients, and executing service strategies in fast-paced environments.
- The ability to supervise junior associates.
