What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Equity M&A Associate Attorney position at Lateral Link?
Run sponsor-side transactions end-to-end. Draft, negotiate, and lead core workstreams across buyouts, add-ons, minority/growth investments, venture rounds, recapitalizations, exits, and executive equity.
BigLaw salary PLUS get a full end of year bonus signing bonus if you start before the end of the year.
What you’ll do:
- Run PE/M&A workstreams with direct client contact
- Draft/negotiate SPAs, merger and rollover docs, equity and incentive plans, key ancillaries
- Own diligence, closings, and counterparty/advisor coordination
- Mentor juniors; regular partner exposure
What you bring:
- 3 years at a leading firm in PE/M&A or growth/VC
- Proven independent ownership within a team
- Strong business judgment and crisp writing/speaking
- NY bar or eligibility (next exam/waiver)
