What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Compensation Associate Attorney position at Lateral Link?
Lateral Link is assisting a global firm with a new unposted search for an associate with 2–5 years of experience to join the firm’s Tax and Executive Compensation practices in the New York office.
This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated matters across both practice areas, supporting a wide range of corporate transactions and client advisory work.
The associate will work closely with the Firm’s transactional and restructuring practices on advising clients on tax issues related to mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, fund formations, debt and equity financings, reorganizations, real estate investments, and cross-border investments. A strong foundation in the taxation of corporations and partnerships, along with the ability to analyze and interpret the IRC and related regulations, is essential.
Given the broad nature of our practice, the associate must be able to adapt quickly and have a desire to learn new areas of tax law.

Candidates must have comparable law firm experience, outstanding academic credentials, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent research and document drafting skills.
LL.M in Taxation preferred.
